VIRTUOUS MUSLIM WOMEN IN POLITICS, EDO STATE BRANCH PLEDGE THEIR SUPPORT TO PASTOR OSAGIE IZE-IYAMU AS EDO STATE NEXT GOVERNOR.

The Virtuous Muslim women in politics headed by the president of the body, Hajia Salimat Momodu, visited and pledged their support to Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu at his residence in Benin on Friday 26th of June, 2020.



The group who were received by The wife of the pastor, Prof Idia Ize-Iyamu and Director of Women mobilization, Dcness Mrs Maryam Jibrin Oamen. 
The president of the group thanked the Prof and the Director for receiving them and assured them of their immersed support for Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu's emergence as Edo State Governor in September,2020.
Hajia Salimat said "We the Virtuous Muslim Women in Politics, Edo state Branch have all come together and agreed on one candidate who we all are endorsing for the office of the governor of Edo state come September this year. We have not seen any reason why this current government should return to the Osadebe avenue. They have failed in all their promises to the Edo People."


She also said "Today, we want to assure you of our support for your husband Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu. We believe in him to be a man of his words, he is a lover of development and he has the people at heart. He never looks down on even the lowest of all, to him, everyone is equal and we believe in his SIMPLE AGENDA and for these reasons, we hereby endorse him to come make Edo State great again."
Responding to the women, Prof Idia Ize-Iyamu said she was happy the women have come out to show their support and assured them that Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu will never fail Edo people if voted in. She said "My husband as you all know is a lover of agriculture and development. He has plans to make everyone gain one or two from the government. I love as you all have endorsed him, it shows Edo women are still the very Wise and courageous women we are. We will never fail you and I thank you all for this."

The Director of Women Mobilization, Dcness Mrs Maryam Jibrin Oamen also thanked the women and promised them of a government that will change Edo for the better and make the common Edo state man or woman happy. "We all have seen that the current government have failed, we women, it is our duties to make our husbands and sons see reasons with us why we should not let them come back to that seat because they will wreck more havoc on us all. They have promised and failed woefully and we are tired of their paper work without anything to show. I appreciate you all for this brave step in the right direction." These were the words of Dcness Mrs Maryam Jibrin.
The women where led by the president of the group, Hajia Salimat Momodu and they were received in the compound of Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu.
