It is no longer news that the Edo State governorship election is a straight battle between Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu and Godwin Obaseki.

The political fireworks heralding the primaries of both parties were more than captivating.

APC had its own drama till the very last day Obaseki opted out of the party, even after his exit from the party he still had an overspill of drama till Baba Buhari waded in.

PDP, on the other hand, was fire as soon as Obaseki stepped in, Obaseki who entered with only one leg initially to test the water was resisted badly.

With superior firepower, Obaseki stepped in fully and dislodged the warring factions.

Obaseki's entrance into the PDP was like that of the Undertaker of the famous WWE series.

The Undertaker is well-known for his legendary entrances. Smoke would fill the entrance area with a deep sound as if the world is about to come to an end.

Obaseki muscled his way into the PDP with large incentives laced with enormous financial gratification.

It is rumoured in the public space that Obaseki allegedly parted with 8 Billion initially for the PDP's ticket to the NWC of the party.

Also, it is alleged that several billion was released to the PDP for the planning of the primaries which was financed by Obaseki.

In total Edo, residents are accusing Obaseki of pumping over 20 Billion in the PDP project.

The logistics alone is overwhelming, a round trip to Benin Airport this period would observe several Private Jets on standby.

The last three weeks have seen top echelons of the OSM making use of the services of the private jets per second.

Obaseki traded his way into the PDP from the top.

Atiku, Tambuwwal, Wike, Okowa, Edwin Clark, Tom Ikimi and Secondus played prominent roles in Obaseki crossing over to the PDP.

Initially, Obaseki's war with Adams Oshiomhole was to get him out of the way in good time in order to manipulate the APC primaries to his favour.

Somehow Adams Oshiomhole outsmarted him and stole the show, Obaseki was schemed out of the APC power play.

Strange when some people applaud Obaseki for standing up to fight Adams Oshiomhole with so many Billions without asking why the huge expenses involved in Obaseki's second term?

From suggestions, Obaseki would standout to be the Politician who happens to have spent more in any electioneering campaign in Nigeria's history.

As early as December, Obaseki started the fight against the removal of Adams Oshiomhole.

He sponsored meetings held by the anti-Oshiomhole governors.

Obaseki dragged Oshiomhole to countless courts seeking for one funny restraining order or injunction.

All these logistics in terms of transportation, accommodation, feeding, testing of the terrain, utility bills, brown envelopes and all don't come in small bills.

Obaseki serviced his lawyers for the better part of this year.

It is alleged that Obaseki has spent more than 3.5 Billion as legal fees and services this year alone.

Actually, Obaseki has spent Billions servicing a needless fight in the first place.

With the huge amount of funds spent on securing the PDP's ticket Obaseki is still taxed by the whole PDP leadership. From the NWC to the smallest organ in the various wards in the Local Government.

The 192 PDP ward chairmen are expected to receive brand new vehicles as part of the new deal.

Each Special Adviser would emerge from every ward.

Obaseki is to give seven slots as commissioners to the old PDP.

The appetite from the PDP is clearly a case of penny wise pound foolish.

Feelers coming in from the camp of Obaseki has it on good authority that Obaseki is just playing to the gallery to win the elections before he severe ties with the PDP new Godfathers.

With the amount allegedly spent on the ticket alone, it is impossible for Obaseki to spend less in the main elections.

Obaseki practically crossed over to dine with the Devil and obviously left the long spoon behind.

The Obaseki who behaves like a thrift collector and spends like a miser is already gnashing his teeth on the huge amount demanded by his party the PDP.

"His Excellency can not be fooled he's just managing them like he does not know what is going on, the recklessness in which the PDP is spending the funds is surely irritating to Obaseki but what do you expect him to do?

I bet you, give Obaseki three months he would dispose of them.

Meanwhile, the majority of Edo residents are wondering why Obaseki could not empower his party members but yet can allegedly dole out Billions to secure the PDP's ticket.

Obaseki cannot allow APC leaders in Edo State to loot Edo money, he cannot allow them to have access to the state treasury to steal the wealth which belongs to Edo people, good but now where did he get N8billion he gave PDP, is it his own personal money or state money because we got information that he donated N8billion to PDP, where did he get it, he prevented his former party members that worked for him in 2016 to have access to state money but he later uses the same money belonging to the state for his selfish interest, why can't he prove himself as a truthful governor by donating his own personal money instead of state money, that means he is not different from the people in APC he is accusing.

6 Billion can be able to set up a good Agricultural plan for the State to flourish, why waste such huge funds in just three weeks of politicking?
