All Is Set As INEC Releases List Of Provisional Candidates For Edo Governorship Election(Photo)

All speculations have been laid to rest as the Independent Electoral Commission INEC has released the provisional list of eligible candidates under the various parties.

On Monday was the deadline INEC fixed for the submission of governorship candidates and their running mates.

Yesterday, INEC has made the list available and the two major candidates are both listed for their respective parties.

Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu would be representing the All Progressive Congress. APC while the incumbent Governor, Godwin Obaseki would be representing the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

This announcement has put paid to all insinuations that any of the two major aspirants have been disqualified.

Recall that recent days has seen members of the Obaseki Shaibu Movement, OSM alleging the APC candidate, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu has been disqualified from the governorship race.

All is now set for the great battle ahead, let us keep our fingers crossed and see how things play out.

It was jubilation galore on Friday, 3rd July, 2020, as Edo North APC members came out in multitudes to welcome Home, Hon Gani Audu from Abuja after he had been made the APC Deputy Governorship Candidate recently. The DG candidate who arrived at about 4pm was met with a crowd of party Leaders, loyalists, Friends and Families at Ogbido Town, Uzairue.
