My dear brother, I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of your wife. Losing a partner is a tragedy with devastating effects and as such words would be certainly inadequate to describe how you must be feeling as you say goodbye to the woman you loved like no other. Hence, my thoughts are with you during this time of unimaginable grief. Your wife Olabisi will be greatly missed by all those who were lucky enough to know her. She was dutiful, kind, very supportive and had a positive influence on everyone around her. I beseech you to find peace and love in her beautiful memories. As I appeal to the Almighty God to guide you through this period and help lead you to some tranquility, it is my sincere prayer that her wonderful soul will continue to rest in His bossom. Amen. Please accept my condolences. HON. ANTHONY IGIEHON
Yesterday, I had another rare opportunity to visit the palace of our beloved and highly revered monarch, the Omo N'Oba N'Edo Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare II, Oba of Benin under the auspices of Ogbakha-Edo, a social-cultural group whose membership I hold dearly. The primary objective of the group is to unite Edo indigenes all over the world for the purpose of ensuring effective rebuilding, a holistic growth of our people as well as a result oriented leadership. Listening to His Royal Majesty was reassuring and we didn't fail to reaffirm our continued loyalty to his glorious reign. Chinua Achebe wrote in the 1958 best seller- Things Fall Apart, *"If a child washes his hands, he could eat with Kings".* Therefore, I am rather humbled, honoured and privileged than proud to be considered a son of this historic palace and will never seize to join hands with my fellow indigenes in contributing to the betterment of the lives of our people socioeconomically.
