THANK YOU MESSAGE TO THE PEOPLE OF CONSTITUENCY 2 BY HON GANI AKOKHIA

Image
I have seen elections being conducted, collated and winners declared but I saw people fighting for what they believed in and for their mandate for two days non-stop. I have felt loved but the kind of love I felt when I saw the youths and women of Constituency 2 staying and sleeping under the cold of the night just to make sure their votes count even in the face of harassment from PDP thugs, was shocking and I was touched. Right from when I flagged off for the position of member representing Etsako West Constituency 2 in the Edo State House of Assembly, you all have shown me support, love and encouraged me to keep on going and I must say this, I would never have come this far without your help, supports, prayers and votes at the polls. I love you all and if I was asked to pay you all for the sacrifice you all have made for me, I don't think money can buy it. Only God can reward you all. I want to state here that I will never let you down. I promise to give you all the voice you ne

THANK YOU MESSAGE  The primary election of our party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has come and gone. In the months leading up to the primaries, I spoke to many party members at their doorsteps / wards and heard clearly as they summarily submitted their concern particularly the lack of jobs and infrastructural development. I had hoped to assemble these desires of our people, refine, improve and develop them into workable plans and negotiate/secure the necessary resources and opportunities required to realize our set goals, including engaging other HOR members to produce a formidable and properly negotiated documents guided by the principles of true federalism and the supremacy of the Rule of Law. This was my message of effective representation via the RESTORATION Agenda and it was borne out of a burning desire for a better Nigeria and particularly our constituency. .  Although the outcome did not turn out the way we had hoped, however, I am grateful to God no life was lost

TODAY, I, HON. ANTHONY IGIEHON PICKED MY NOMINATION AND EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FORM TO CONTEST THE EGOR/IKPOBA-OKHA FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY SEAT Several weeks ago, I answered your clarion call for service and offered myself for election as member representing Egor/Ikpoba-Okha Federal Constituency in the green chambers of National Assembly and on the platform of our great party; the All Progressives Congress (APC). Long after that declaration, I have continued to transverse the 20 wards that make up the Federal Constituency in consultation and you, the leaders and people did shower me with overwhelming support stretching every remote and metropolitan area. Indeed, I remain grateful. However, the need to elevate the status of our collective aspiration became much more imperative in the days that followed. In obedience laced in faith and courage, and in the company of friends, family and innumerable political associates and leaders, I purchased the nomination and expression of interest for

...BECAUSE I AM PASSIONATE, I WILL NOT LOSE SIGHT OF OUR GOALS

Image
~ Hon. Tony Igiehon To be effective as a leader, focusing on set goals is expedient while having an uncommon belief in the realization of such goals. Good leaders don’t and will never say, *“it’s just a job,” or “I just work there.”* They care about what they do, they care about the promises, assurances and commitments that they have made because to them there exist a most singular and potent reason for their service- the people they lead and work for and whose principled followership they have the rare opportunity to satisfy. Without sounding thrasonical, this is what I am trained and tailored for- finding solutions to difficult problems, providing answers to hard questions no matter how long it may take and springing up novel ideas to meet the demands of an ever evolving world of challenges. As I look forward to representing you in the green chambers of the National Assembly, I will always keep in mind the goals that we both set at the beginning, and fix my gaze on the bigger picture
